TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Yes we praise God for the many wonderful blessings He has given to us. Inside you will find two victory stories. God has truly blessed us in a rich and wonderful way. However it must be noted that these are only partial victories. Jeanie and I have raised only our living link support. We have absolutely nothing to cover work expenses. At present the lack of work funds requires that we even publish our newsletter at our own pledged expense. Should anyone fail to meet the amount in actual giving, belts would have to be tightened. Any emergency, even a slight one such as a minor operation would require that we borrow money.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE HATH DONE

We must always be aware of the fact that our time table may not be God's. We had planned on leaving on June 3. This was impossible as we were still over $100 short of the minimum living link support that we would need to maintain ourselves on the field. We postponed our departure amid the gnawing fear that we might even miss the July 23 deadline. This would mean missing the first term of language school and delaying our departure date until after the first of next year.
Graduation was May 11, then the 13th we were to meet with the missions committee of the Church of Christ in Orrville, Ohio. We spoke to them concerning our plans and needs. This type of a thing was not uncommon for missionary recruits, so we hadn't built up any great expectations. The meeting was soon over and we left to wait in the sanctuary for the beginning of church services.
In about 15 minutes one of the men on the committee asked us to come to the minister's office. Once there he again asked us how much we needed to have our living link funds. "$125 per month," I responded.

As of now, you have it," came the reply. I leaned on the desk; my stunned look aroused a chuckle. I asked again to be sure I had heard right.
The assembly at Orrville, a fifteen minute drive from my parents' home, became our second largest contributor. We now praise God who truly does work all things together for the good. We still need service link support, but we will not be forced to delay our departure again. God has met our personal needs through the efforts of His devoted followers. D.R.M.
