COLOMBIAN CHRISTIAN MISSION
Dale and Jeanie Meade, Missionaries
Preaching Christ from the Amazon Jungle, through the Andes Mountains, to the Caribbean Coastal regions
Volume 19, Issue 11 November, 1991
IT'S OVER
For the past year, I have been almost totally consumed with the missionary convention. During that time I have traveled nearly 60,000 miles as I spoke on behalf of the convention. I presented the work of the convention at some thirty different churches as well as preaching the faith promise for two of our Bible colleges. There were times when I was so exhausted, I did not know if I would make it. Towards the end of October I developed a nervous "tic" or twitch on the left side of my face and I had trouble sleeping. Somehow I seemed easier to believe that God was in charge of the Amazon jungle than on the convention trail here in the USA! But the Convention is over now. By God's grace and your prayerful support, I made it through. This year the Convention was actually split in two. First, we had a separate convention for the missionaries and recruits. We discussed everything from family life to language acquisition. Next, we hosted the "World Evangelism Conference" for the churches. For the very first time, our primary focus and intent was to help the local church develop its missions program. A great number of people expressed excitement with the many new tools that they had to take home with them. God blessed many churches through the convention. Yes, it has been a difficult year for me and my family. But it has also been an honor and a joy to have had this opportunity. In the end, all honors belongs to you, who as our supporters are a real part of our missionary ministry. May God richly bless you.

Wendy also spoke to a teen workshop about life as a MK.
This year's convention ranked as record setter in nearly every area, from the number of displays to attendance and offerings.

Dale studies for his sermon during a brief lull in the activity of the convention. The last two months Dale had been on the road so much that he hardly had time to prepare for his message. A copy of Dale's message can be obtained by writing to the National Missionary Convention.
